- Land records database – Hasting County land records indexed by name.
Also available online is a comprehensive list of Prince Edward County cemeteries.
Research requests
Our dedicated volunteers are happy to help you find the information you wish at a very reasonable cost if you are unable to visit us in Prince Edward County. You may request research in one of the following ways:
- Send us an email detailing what you are looking for via our contact form (select Research Assistance). Please note that a minimum $30 non-refundable deposit is required before we will commence your request.
- You may also call us at 613-967-6291 during operating hours (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
- We recommend doing a preliminary search using one of our online databases (Names, Land Records) and sending us the list of selections you would like us to check. Instructions are provided on the database search pages for using the search tool and submission form.
- Please check your SPAM or JUNK email folder for correspondance from us as our emails are sometimes flagged as spam.
If your research will take longer than an hour, additional research is charged at $20.00/hour. We will contact you before proceeding further. Research fees do not include the price of document scanning.
IMPORTANT NOTE for those researching ancestors for Canadian citizenship applications.
Due to increased demand for research assistance, we are experiencing a high volume of requests and research visits. Please be patient as our facility is only open two days/week. Our volunteers do their best to reply in a timely manner.
Also note that it is rare that we hold original documents – our research scope is limited to our holdings and is intended to help you identify or locate the source of the information you may be seeking.
