British Home Children in Prince Edward County – presentation by Sheila Dodd

September 28 is British Home Child day in Canada and we are hosting a special
presentation by Sheila Dodd – an active volunteer, committee member and
accredited speaker with Home Children Canada (HCC) since 2019.

Sheila has researched several local area British Home Children (BHC) and has
worked with their families to bring their stories to life. She has also served on the Liverpool Monument Committee representing HCC to have a statue placed at Liverpool harbour, England, to commemorate the 118,000 BHC who sailed from Liverpool to Canada.
