There’s something for everyone. Our volunteers undertake a wide variety of tasks including:
- cataloguing and indexing records for our databases
(if it can’t be found by a researcher, it doesn’t exist!) - providing genealogical research support for customers
- data entry (keeping our library and administrative records up to date)
- planning and holding events (large and small)
- clipping death, obituary, birth and marriage notices
- writing content (for our website, newsletter and more)
- responding to enquiries, membership / volunteer communications
- technology support (hardware and software)
- admin support (there’s always something)
- imaging (scanning and copy-stand photography) and digitizing various media assets
- presenting (great for someone who loves to tell stories)
