The Marilyn Adams Genealogical Research Centre is pleased to be participating in Christmas in the village this year.
Come and pay us a visit!

We’ll be closed for our annual winter break in December and January. While we will still be checking for messages, our Research Desk and other volunteers won’t be available for research requests and visits.
You can still follow us on Facebook and we’ll be open on December 4 for Christmas in the Village and by appointment in February. See you again in March!
Before planning a visit to our research facility, please keep in mind the following:
COVID policy – In order to protect our volunteers and guests to the fullest extent possible, we will be enforcing the use of face coverings while inside our facility and requiring guests to provide valid proof of vaccination or exemption.
Book or call in advance – We are also limiting the number of visitors to one or two people at a time.
We have a useful online booking tool that allows you to select available time slots.
If you’re thinking of dropping in on short notice, please call us at the centre at: 1 613.967.6291. Remember that we are only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so that is when we pick up phone or email messages.
If you’d like to arrange another date to visit, contact us well in advance at research@seventhtownresearch.com. We’ll try and organize a team of volunteers to work that day.
We can also research our collections for you if visiting is not an option. Our fee is $20 per hour plus nominal charges for documents or scans. Email us for more information or use our online index databases to do your own search for records in our collections. See the Names database or Land Records database (index by name).
We thank all of our guests for their understanding in these times.
