Flashback February – Meet an ancestor

If you missed our live presentations on Tuesday February 21, don’t dismay. You can still meet Catherine Sprague and Jane Walmsley via recorded versions of their stories.

As a bonus feature, spend a little time with Al Watson, editor of the North Hastings Review, as he holds editorial meetings with his staff.

Winter closure

Our annual winter hiatus is coming and we’ll be closed to research requests and visits during the months of December and January so that we can give our volunteers a break and get some year-end housekeeping tasks done. We are planning to be open to visitors on Saturday December 3 as part of Ameliasburgh’s annual Christmas in the Village event.

We will monitor our mailboxes but only sporadically. You can keep in touch via our Facebook page and before you know it, we’ll be back on Tuesdays in February.

Notice of AGM

All members in good standing are invited to join us for our Annual General Meeting on Saturday April 23 at 1:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the offices of Seventh Town Historical Society with an option to attend virtually as well. Details will be emailed to members about a week before the meeting.

Any members planning to attend in person should advise us by emailing membership@seventhtownresearch.com  so that we can plan accordingly (and so that we may contact you should the COVID situation change our plans to host on site).

We are actively seeking candidates to serve on our board. Interested members should contact Beverly Sprague by April 10, 2022 (president@seventhtownresearch.com).
