The Heal database is an index compiled by Hugh Heal of 175,000 names in the Heal Collection at the MAGRC. Over 71,000 of the names actually carry variants of the Heal surname. As with the Names database, a list of entries of interest can be compiled and/or e-mailed from the database to our research volunteers who will scan, assemble and email the relevant material for a nominal fee.
